Dead Chuffed

Well I've been on this WOE since 13th May with only 2 fasts missed.

If I take my weight yesterday and today then I am below 12st for the first time in probably about 20 years.

I also bought a wee lightweight jacket from New Look in the spring and was shocked that it was so tight and unwearable. It's been stuffed in my locker at work since then. Today a wee voice said "go on try it on again, you never know"

Well Lo and behold IT FITS :victory: Almost as perfectly as anything ever does (which is almost never) on me.

So there you go. I've only lost about 8lbs but the inches have obviously been coming of all over my upper body.

So take heart. If the scales are disappointing get the measuring tape out or try on something that was too tight. Go on, I dare you. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Only another stone to go

Good for you. I need to do some looking about for clothes I thought I never could wear again.

That's been happening to me and my hubby too. I think I get more of a boost from previously too tight clothes fitting then from any actual weight lost. Well done :)

Thanks guys. Sorry to Nelsonsmum for an almost identical subject heading. I think we might have been posting around the same time, but well done to you too.

Well done Alf! Doesn't it give you a great feeling of satisfaction fitting into something you couldn't previously wear? I find that unlike other "diets" I am also losing inches all over in a very balanced way which being pear shaped previous dieting has left me with a scraggy thin face, reduced boobs & my hips & thighs still a size larger than my top half! But not now which is great

Alf - I have found the same thing - lost much less weight than you, but in spite of this, inches off the waist .. And it is great to try clothes on that had been written off!
