Despite results, I am....

DELIGHTED!

Just a recap: Started 4:3 almost three weeks ago (2 wks plus 5 days). I had lost 24.8 pounds on my own before this.

1st week did three full fast days, two consecutive ones and the other one at the end of the week. Results: lost 2.2 pounds.

2nd week struggled with hunger, tried to fast several times but did not. Ate as a wild animal and with all your positive energy you guys sent my way, I was able to do one full fast day. Results: gained 1 pound (It was a gain, but happy with the results).

3rd. week: did two full fast consecutive days, and another one yesterday. Weeks for me start on Wednesdays. So today stepped on the scale. Results: Stayed the same.

After this summary, I just want to say that I am happy with this WOE. After losing the almost 25 pounds on my own, I reached a healthy weight right before starting this. I know that weight loss is not linear, and starts to slow down as one has less to lose. I feel great, I feel healthy, I feel in control. The flexibility the program offers is just what I like the most. I did not struggle this third week at all during the fasting days, and I love that, the fact that I do not have to be a slave to the food to live my life. One of the things that I have learned is to be patient, and to be consistent and determined to reach my goal. I do not have a time frame to reach it. I just have a goal that I know someday I will be able to reach.

I am working on controlling my overall intake of fruits, this week was much better. I also wanted to mention that I have hypothyroidism, and my thyroid levels are not good. My medication had to be adjusted but it takes a while to kick in, and it takes a while too to know if it is the right dosage, so, that could be another reason why my weight stayed the same. I want to say thanks to all of you for your great advices, for cheering me up, and for sharing your experiences with me.

Thank you!!

Hi solangel
So glad all went well with most of your fastdays
As you say the less you have to lose the more difficult it will be for you but good that you're carrying on for the health benefits, and with the flexibility of this WOL you can swop whenever needed.
Good luck and well done :clover: Sue. :clover:
