Disappointed today
25 Oct 2013, 05:55
Hello

My fasting days are Monday and Thursday.
I weigh myself friday morning, so today for this week.

Today I also measured waist, hip and so on.

And I'm disappointed because no less centimeter, no less weight (even +0.5kg).

I do the same things as other weeks.

Why no weight loss and even +0.5Kg?
Have you got this sometimes?

Thanks for your help.

hi Yokosan

sorry you are feeling disappointed today, please dont loose heart! 0.5gr really isnt much and could be due to lots of things,am sure others on here will give you some guidance!maybe its that time of the month? the dreaded bloating grrr i get that :-(
i only weigh myself once a month, even less, as i hate the scales with a passion lol, also since i cut down on my work outs the pounds are dropping off..
give it a little more time, and the magic will kick in am sure :-) :like: :clover:
chin up! x

I can understand your disappointment, 5.2 can be frustrating at times. It can take a little while for your body to adjust. Stick with it.

I think it's not unusual at all to have the occasional gain/stay-the-same. I've had almost a month like that, but I'm nearing my goal so I'm not so surprised.

Keep going yokosan. If you only have a small amount to lose, it can take a little longer, but we are all used to the fact that this is a slow weight loss and it does go up and down,

I too gained this week first time in 8 weeks. Felt a little disappointed but then reminded nyself that this is a long term thing and I have averaged a lb a week which believe me for my body is good! Its also the easiest way I have lost it
Have you taken measurements of your waist etc sometimes they can go down even if scales don't?
Good luck.

Yes I've taken measurements waist, hips but nothing loose.

I'll go on. I still have 3 or 4 kilos to loose.

I'll try to watch more my food during non fasting days.

Hi Yokosan,

3 or 4 kilos, is around what I have to loose too. From reading so many other threads it seems that as you approach the final half stone/7lbs/3kilos your body decides to call a halt to proceedings. I have plateaud/ping-ponged between 131-129lbs for around 8 weeks, it's driving me mad but I'm sticking with as the alternative is to stop and then possibly gain weight! I've been mixing up my exercise regime etc to try and get off the plateau and today I find myself at my lowest ever weight. Not sure if I'm now off the plateau or just having another game of ping pong with my body!

Good luck.

I am also up 0.7kg and disappointed but strangely my clothes feel looser than ever. I haven't done any measuring so can't confirm this but I am having to hold my trousers up when walking the dog so they don't drag in the mud!!!

It's definitely a psychological boost when the scales show a change but I am trying to desperately remember what all the good supportive folks say on the forum about water retention etc I think I weighed less on weds before my thursday fast than I do today!!!

Keep at it, I am nearly six months in and over 10kg down xxx
