I think with all the political correctness about these days people are wary of passing personal comments even if they are complimentary! shows what a crazy world we live in!

Wonderful minsmum - especially after your 'wobble' the other day!
Amazing. I'm sure that will re-motivate you
Thanks guys, you know, my philosophy is , if someone looks good for whatever reason tell them, even if it's something you can't put your finger on, tell them, it's just giving someone a smile for free and will make them feel good. You may know the person, but not their journey.
Do not do what I did once though and say " oh congrats when's it due?"......"I had it a year ago"....... DOH!!! ( ok I admit I walked away laughing to myself, because I have an evil streak)
I have learnt my lesson and wait till I'm told there's a baby due, but, if you look smaller, slimmer, happier, glossier I'll tell you x

Men are a lot more reticent about saying anything to women, I've noticed.
Mind you, my friend that I see once a week has never mentioned my weight loss, although she did say I looked 'nice' in leggings and a tunic last week.
Congrats, minsmum x

I'm really hoping that's what is going on with me. I'm going to just carry on being happy with myself, because I'm nearly there, and so it's possible that the two people who have commented will be the only people to ever comment (husband and hair stylist). It's possible that the rest of the people who know me think that saying I look thinner will imply that I used to be fat. I started 5:2 in March at a BMI of 25 or 27 (standard calculator vs new calculator) so maybe they were politely not considering that fat??
Its so great when it finally happens. Congratulations Minsmum. I just posted last week about this-it took 7 months and nearly 17 KGS and then I got 3 comments in 2 days. Feels good.
Yay! : victory:
And another! By a guy at work who said that he hoped he wasn't being rude, no mate your not being rude and thanks for noticing
Minsmum, there could perhaps be a bit of jealously as well. All my friends and family have noticed except one friend. However, just last week I saw her in the street and whilst looking at my face (no more double chin) she suddenly said 'you've lost weight'. She looked me up and down and kept repeating the same thing, no wow you look great or well done, just 'you've lost weight'. I remember some years ago going on a long weekend caravan holiday with me and my girls and her and her kids and she said to me that she could never go on holiday with her other friend as she was slimmer then her! Some friend!
