I can't believe it!
Here I am, after 7 weeks of holidays, staying at other people's houses and eating quite a lot more than I should have (including ice cream, pastries etc.) and I haven't put on weight!
The only thing I did religiously is keep fasting twice a week. Usually I put on 2 or 3 kilos during the summer holidays and it takes me ages to lose them (until I put them back at Christmas... you get the idea)
It really does work, then. I know I am only playing with a small margin as I only had a few kilos to lose, but that also means that my efforts are easily wiped out by a few excesses, which is usually so depressing.
I can tell you that there are "fasting" days when I ate way more than 500 calories, but I always respected the fasting window and it seems to have made all the difference.
Only a small kilo to lose now and I'm done!
This results also suggests that I have found a formula for weight maintenance that works for me: 5:2 but with a generous meal on fast days (maybe 700-800 cals?)
