Delighted or Disappointed?

Another trick is to actually log EVERYTHING into a calorie counter, (Myfitnesspal is one) for a week of fast and feast days. On those days when you go over you may find that you don't by much, or as I found once, I didn't even reach my TDEE yet I thought I had totally lost it.

One of my tricks, that I actually enjoy, is to make up a bowl of coleslaw or crudities, but add lemon juice or balsamic vinegar instead of mayonnaise, then when I head for the fridge I have this fresh, tasty, crunchy large bowlful of finger food that I can nibble or scoff as the desire takes me. The flavours and texture are just what I need, especially if its 'mouth boredom' that's got me rummaging.
An added bonus is that it helps with any constipation issues you might have too.
Never heard of mouth boredom before but gosh it is a good description and I like your solution Julie
