This is my 5oth birthday year. I needed to sort myself our. I kicked off with 'Dry January' and started the 5:2 in Feb. Quite brilliant!!!! This morning after 7 months I have moved into the healthy BMI range. I am so please with myself. Its been a slow but entirely managable process. I'm going to loose around another 5-7lbs as a buffer which will take me into the autumn to achieve. I am also carrying on shopping to build my new, slimmer, much nicer wardrobe of clothes!!

Congratulations! That is a fantastic goal
Congratulations .
Well done, ladyredhat - and good luck for further loss. It would be interesting to know how much you've averaged per week over your 7 months loss. But great news anyway, and I bet you now feel fab!!
Congratulations and very well done! Enjoy your new wardrobe!

I hit my healthy BMI last week and it feels great doesn't it

Congrats Ladyredhat!
Milestone birthdays often make us reflect on where we've been and where we're going.
So how fantastic for you to know that you've done something wonderful for your health this year.
Bet you feel great

This is great to read! I believe I can get there too. It takes a while, but slow and steady, we can all get there! What is a healthy BMI, by the way; I forget. I know that over 30 is obese and I'm not there anymore, but what's the next goal?
Well done.
Hi, The BMI scores are as follows:
•BMI below 18.5: a score this low means that you may be underweight.
•BMI between 18.5-24.9: this is a healthy range.
•BMI score of 25 or more: your BMI is above the ideal range and this score means you may be overweight.
•BMI of 30 or more: a BMI above 30 is classified as obese.
