Well, I am pretty pleased. Ages ago, I predictably plateaued at 10st and couldn't for the love of god shift anything. Then I went on holiday and didn't think about fasting at all. I did eat noticeably more salad and less bread than I did last year on hols (we were in France, and usually stuff our faces with cheese and pates, french bread and beer). Anyway, I halfheartedly fasted a little when we got back but never really got back into fasting the way I had before I plateaued, and I gained about 3lbs
Last week I decided to bite the bullet and start again. I weighed myself this morning and the 3lbs have shifted. I am at my classic plateau weight again now, BUT shifting those pesky lbs has given me the kick I needed to carry on. Score!
To here's to hoping the bit of weight gain will help kickstart the loss again, if that makes sense.
Has anyone else found that quitting for a while, then starting up again, at a lower weight than when you started the first time around helps kick things into gear again?
