I bit the bullet
09 Sep 2013, 19:05
I've spent the summer in long shorts, wearing belts as my waist diminished.

But, here in Wales, the weather's got much colder this week and I looked for a pair of jeans to wear; none in the wardrobe.

So I went to the supermarket today and dithered between a Uk size 16 and 14. I eventually bit the bullet and bought the size 14.
When I got them home, I laughed and said to hub, 'I wonder how long it will actually be before I can wear them.'
But I tried them on, did them up, et voila, I'm now comfortably in size 14!

They were only £7, so I'm going back tomorrow to buy a couple more pairs (in 14!).

Delighed of Wales, here!

Don't buy too many pairs Penny, you'll be in a size 12 before you know it :like:

Congrats, but I agree with SianS hold off on buying some more. I was happy to get back into size 12 then amazed to get into a 10 and now they are languishing in my cupboard and I fit very comfortably in size 8 where I intend to stay :)

I have a lovely skirt which was too small during summer 2012, and too big during summer 2013. Feels more like thermal weather here now though brr
