I do not BELIEVE it!
17 Oct 2013, 09:56
When I found this forum just over a month ago I posted that I did not want or need to lose weight but was interested in the health benefits of IF and would like to have a more defined waist which seemed to defeat me despite exercising regularly.
I haven't eaten breakfast in years so was unwittingly already doing a 16 hour fast every day although not necessarily sticking to an 8 hour 'eating window' as I like a late supper. However, I decided to up my game and thought I'd try fasting one day a week to see how things went. I also cut back slightly on carbs during the 6 feast days.
:victory: :victory: I've been weighing myself once a week and the scales have shown very little difference, maybe 1/2 lb (250g), down? BUT to my utter surprise and delight I tried on a pair of UK size 8 high waist jeans yesterday and they were loose! Measured, and re-measured and re-measured my waist  muttering 'That can't be right' to myself but it's TRUE! I've lost over an inch off my waist and am down to 27.5 ins (71 cm)! I am absolutely thrilled to little bits
@FatDog, if you read this I'm on your tail girl!

Well done callyanna! I had a similar experience - knew I had lost a bit of weight but one of my goals was to fit into my size 10 Topshop jeans again. I avoided trying that pair of jeans on since I was convinced my shape hadn't changed that much and I didn't want to be disappointed!

One day thought 'what the heck' and....... Those jeans slid on easily!
Absolutely astounded by how easy this WOE is and by the results :-)

 Thanks everyone! My thick waist has been my 'bête noire' for years so yes, I'm thrilled! The bloat on the old tum seems to have deflated somewhat too, so double whammy!
Note to self now, do not slip back into overdoing the carbs or it might all go pear shaped, (or in my case apple dumpling shaped!)
