Delighted or Disappointed?

I'm delighted because I seem to be over my running slump and things have picked up again! I've done an easy 5km and two comfortable 10kms since Monday :like:

What I'm disappointed about is that I have been back eating more carbs.... "good" ones, I hasten to add, but nevertheless more carbs... and this has stalled my quest to rid myself of those last residual Christmas pounds.

It seems more than coincidental that my running improvement occurs as I up my carb intake so I'm going to stick with the eating habits as they are for the moment as I really do so enjoy my running and the ground is just too soggy/ponies too filthy for me to enjoy riding at the moment.

I'm sure that when the weather improves, that I'll be able to ease gently back into the WOE that got the weight off in the latter part of last year. I'm not gaining, I'm just not losing at the moment.... and my small clothes are all still comfortable - so I'm kind of hoping that the increase in running might do the job instead of a restriction in calories  (one can only hope!! hehe)
Good luck Domane. You seem to be taking a much more relaxed attitude to this, than just after you got to your target last year, when you seemed very stressed by it all. I'm sure that's the best way, and we are learning so much from watching you as an early mainteneer! :like: :clover:
Good plan Domane. If the carbs help you run better and your conscious of the quality then I think that's fine. To me that seems that you are making your WOE sustainable for you.

P.s. congratulations on winnog the most inspiring photo award. I voted for you. I wonder if you could put your photos in your signature like @Carorees has done?
 Hey @Domane You're doing great just focus on the fact that yes at least its stalemate could be far worse and if the good carbs help with the running for now then so be it of course its our weather that's hindering loads of us its so blooming bad I've never been so cold.
