After five months on 5:2 my HDL cholesterol has increased from 1.2 to 1.5. OK, I've been going to the gym regularly as well but I'm very pleased re the HDL figure and I'm sure the fasting has something to do with it. This now means that my total cholesterol level is below 5, for the first time in quite a while. Slowly losing the lbs, too.
