I started on 19 Aug and while I can't say that fasting was very difficult at the beginning, today it proved to be really smooth, even if I spent my day thinking about food. But I was not thinking about cakes or chips, etc, I was thinking about veggies, how I need to learn new yummy recipes so during my feast days I can enjoy them. So today I went to get my groceries and they were >90% fruits and veggies I came home and cooked some beans, cause that is a must in a Mexican home, and I also prepared a very nice dinner for tonight: tilapia (not a new recipe but a family favorite) and a new recipe of stir fried broccoli. I am a big fan of Asian food (at least the American version that I am used too), so I feel like trying those recipes as soon as I see them. I actually bought a vegetarian cookbook that looks yummy and that's where I got the recipe. I am not vegetarian at all, but I want ideas to increase our intake of veggies and I can complement with a nice fish or meat.
