I have been logging my weight for over 7 years on a little website called Weight Commander - sometimes daily; sometimes after long absences (and always showed a big gain when I went off daily weighing - but that is not the point of this post )
One year ago today I logged the highest weight ever in my database. I then stopped weighing for a few days, likely because I thought it would go even higher. I had been on Weight Watchers the years previously with minimal success (my WW buddy joked we were paying money to gain weight ). I wouldn't discover 5:2 for another 5 months.
My weight today is....tada....28 pounds lost!! . This is magical. I feeI the weight has just disappeared as the effort involved has really been no effort at all. I can remember feeling so hopeless last year that I would ever get back to a normal weight and here I (almost) am.
The loss has slowed as expected but keeps on. I know this is something I can maintain for life.
And also magical in this success has been this forum. The support and advice here has been equally important to the 5:2 plan. You are all my online family and thank you, thank you, thank you.
