First of all congratulations for your weight loss so far.
Exercise will build muscle and this causes weight increase due to water retention in those muscles. The 5.2 process can be slow but it is usually steady. Take a look at my progress chart. There are no repeated big drops in weight as the body often likes to get used to the new weight, before moving along. Take a look at "why am I not losing weight" thread search for it and you will find many great facts.
Good luck and carry on exercising, it's good for your soul (well It's good for mine)
Don't stress it's all part of the "journey"
Don't forget its an average 1lb a week.
My lose is - lose it, maintain it, maintain it, lose a bit more. If it comes off too fast it isn't real body fat lost.

 Hi @imagery Well done on the weight lost so far and don't stress + worry at an average of 1lb per week you're close to target and as Caroline said muscle weighs heavier but only temporarily your best bet should be the tape measure that sometimes shows results when you're ready to throw the scales through the window.

Like carrie and sue say, you are actually on track and 'average' - well done! :victory:
This is a slow and steady way of eating with weight loss as a by product of health benefits. So, even if you didn't drop poundage this week, you are still getting the benefits. And even more as you are exercising. Exercising is good for you but really doesn't do much for weight loss. Lots of threads and info on the board about it if you do a search.
Measure, record, persevere and be patient. Sorry, it's not a miracle but you will feel so much better sticking to it.
Let us know how you get on :clover:

Blooming scales.....couldn't you just crush them some days???

You are absolutely not alone! Having said that, do try to remember that the scales are only a small part of the story.......let's throw in how you look, how you feel, what the tape measure says....the health benefits......and how determined you are to change things....

This is not a quick fix! Personally, I've tried all those before...& failed every time - usually due to the fact that none of the diets were sustainable on a long term basis. Losing weight was not the problem......

This WOE is soooooo different...but you do have to play the long game. Am conscious that I am speaking as someone who has shed loads to lose - maybe you don't have the same story, but if you are wanting a really sustainable long term eating plan that will change things once & for all....then 5 2 is for you!

Keep the faith.....& keep in touch with us all. There is so much fantastic info on here.....& plenty of us who are happy to share the highs and lows with you......so please don't get disheartened!!
