Just sharing my 5 year olds words earlier, I was promising to take her swimming soon and then commented I'd better try on my swimming costume as maybe it would be too big now and she said 'yes mummy, you used to be very fat, but now you're just a little bit fat' - think there's a compliment in there somewhere!

That's so sweet and definitely a compliment!
Kids tend to say it as it is!
My OH really annoys me when he refers to me having a big bum. No matter how heavy I have been I have never had a big bum! A big tum but never a big bum.

Mariposa I think that's a lovely compliment from your daughter, kids are very honest.
You can rely on kids to tell it like it is!! Bet you'd rather be just 'a little bit fat' though, and looking at your weight loss, you can be very proud!
Well deserved and from a reliable source.
awwwww!!
as said before, the truth from kiddies!!!!!!!!!!!
bet you're still smiling

Compliment!!
I think that it is a compliment, of which you should be very proud! I had a quick look at your progress chart - fantastic weight loss! Congratulations!
Thanks all, been having a stall recently as lost a bit of enthusiasm with the colder weather (although continued to fast twice a week) and think overeating on normal days! It's taking a while for my brain to catch up with my body too as I still surprise myself when I see my whole body reflection as it looks so different! Feel so much better in myself though and getting more adventurous with clothing which has been lovely and even chopped off all my very long hair as don't feel the need to blend into the background anymore. Last couple of weeks have upped the focus a bit and scales are shifting again!
My daughter definitely hit the nail on the head, I now feel like in the 'normally fat' range rather than the obese range and I much prefer it despite the deflating skin issue!
Soon be January and a whole year round! Hoping to be near normal bmi by the summer!
Any newbies, keep going! Especially if you have a lot to lose! It's a long journey, but one I never thought I'd make and I'm over halfway there!
