Delighted or Disappointed?

This week my numbers were all over the place:
Weight: gained 1.5lbs
Waist: same as last week
Body fat: went down 0.4%
I also measure my neck, boobs, hips, thighs and arms and everything seems the same.
So, I am delighted that my body fat went down (although I really don't know how reliable is the body fat measuring machine is), disappointed with the weight gain and leaning towards disappointment with my body measurements (I was hoping for some loss there).
The thing is last week's fasts were really tough, especially Friday, I was so lethargic it was unbelievable. But I am motivated and hoping that this week will be easier.

The body fat machine will fluctuate depending on how hydrated you are - sorry to say, so if you were dehydrated you might show a bit less. Hang on in there though, weight loss is not linear and waist measurement is more important. Sorry to hear your last fast was tough. Did you do anything different?

Thanks for your reply rawkaren. The only different thing I did last Friday is that I skipped my morning coffee and I changed my days (but I haven't been that consistent in that respect which I think is fine). Maybe I should have drunk more water.
For the body fat machine, I do it under the same conditions each time so I guess I will just look at the general trend and so far it seems that it is going down.

The great thing is you are motivated so you havent lost heart..
In a while you will have forgotten this temporary disappointment coz you'll have seen more results
I think in the earlyish weeks (if you started late august, rather than just joined here late aug after already doing 5:2 for a while) fasts can be tough and take some adjusting..
I am still quite new to this and one good way i ve found to make fast and repair days easier,is i haunt the boards here to keep me focused! And help the time pass! X

Yes, I guess I am getting adjusted to this WOE, it's been 5 weeks so far and the first 4 weeks were pretty easy but last week was really hard. Today was very smooth though :)

Keep going, Iztla, you'll get there!

I try to prepare myself mentally after each fast - weight goes up and down erratically sometimes.
