Pleasantly Surprised
04 Dec 2013, 17:35
Last week was Thanksgiving in the U.S. and I travelled to see my parents in Florida. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to fast 2 days, but I ended up getting it in on Mon and Weds.
But, then I didn't worry about what I ate at all over the weekend and only got in a walk once. That combined with flying home on Monday night, I really didn't expect a loss. But, when I got on the scale I was down 1/2 pound!! It's not much, but given the circumstances I was thrilled!

Also, I'm finding that if I don't eat right on time on a normal day I don't freak out like I would've in the past. Last night, I got stuck somewhere for much longer than I expected. I missed dinner and didn't get to eat until almost 9. But, it really wasn't a big deal. I remind myself that I do it twice a week and survive!

All of this has encouraged me to keep at it!

Good going, yes, it is amazing how we all now cope with what we used to believe would cause us to die instantly. Keep up the good work

Well done! Half a pound is heading in the right direction!

Isnt it funny tho...i go for fasting blood tests regularly and used to worry i might pass out due to no food in my belly for a few hours after i got up in the morning!
Little did i know how i would get used to doing it for much longer with no signs of fainting! X
