I had to visit the doctor for an unrelated reason, but while I was there the doctor weighed me and took my blood pressure. 8 kilograms down since my last visit and also a drop in blood pressure from 158/94 to 154/80. Top number still a bit high but hopefully will trend down to, although as I am relatively young I gather that the drop in the bottom number is good news. Nice change to get compliments at the doctor and told just to carry on as I have been going. Almost looking forward to the next visit!

Wow!, seaview. What great results! It is wonderful to see your efforts paying off.
Good work with GP I reckon the more we all inform the more the good word and our results with 5:2 spreads and GP may suggest to other patients in need of the 5:2 WOE
My GP was impressed at my weight loss, too. She said that the results are remarkable and asked me the details. she thinks it is a very healthy approach to dieting and wants to start 5:2 herself.
Well done seaview its great when you get the thumbs-up from the doctor or nurse , maybe its catching on at last, and great news that your BP was going in the right direction. Good Luck Sue
What great news! It's fantastic that you got such positive feedback from your doc too
Good news, seaview, and great to have the doc on your side. The nurse who checked that my broken wrist had healed OK turned out to be on 5:2 and fasting that day as well. It would be good if the word gets around the rest of the NHS as well as there are lots of very wide employees in all roles...
