ps please can I have a shot of your magic scales? It's *coughs* a wee while since I braved either the scales or the tape measure. Scared for next weeks public weighing...
:bug eyed: [/quote]
Stick with it Janeg - the scales will come round!

What excellent news for you, you must be hugely relieved :like:

Thank you AnnieD, yes mustn't get carried away! Your signature quote is very apt - persistence is what does it.

Congratulations on getting to goal and I look forward to updates on how your maintenance is going.

Well done kentishlass - We came back from holiday more surprised than shocked as we had paid for buffet breakfasts and taken full advantage of them! Coupled with maximum sunbathing and minimal swimming (due to broken wrist in plaster) I had no idea how the scales would respond but the morning after our return I showed a gain - of 0.2 lbs (3 ounces!) and was pleased as well as surprised. But I weigh every day, and next day was a pound lighter, and the next another pound - which put me 2 lbs under my target. Heading back up there now but it really does not seem to make sense, other than having a large gap between the breakfast blowout and a small dinner in the evening (no significant snacking)...

Similarly strange things happen to me. What I love about this diet is that on fast days I tell myself I can eat whatever I want, but just not until tomorrow morning:-) For me it is enough satisfaction knowing that I can satisfy any of my cravings and only need to wait a little longer...

Wow I think I need your scales - mine have been steadfastly refusing to oblige me and it's been creeping back on!

Having a 'stock-take' and will be having a more vigilant September!

I'll be happy to have you all! I have hosted dinner parties for up to 30 people with great success. As long as you don't mind sitting on the floor and the couch since there is no such big table. :-)
