Slightly Disappointed This Week
11 Sep 2013, 09:01
I had two really good weeks but this week I only lost 0.5kg. It still means I'e lost 5.5kg in three weeks but I know I've been really bad this week and could have had a decent loss.

Went out to dinner twice and had takeaways too. Hubby didn't lose at all so it's clear we've both got to be good this week.

I'm not disheartened, the diet clearly works and I've not found it a hardship so far.

Here's to a better weigh in next week *fingers crossed*
Hi P i think you've done well...Not good on kilos but is 0.5 kilo the same as one pound? If so thats the usual loss per week, and 5.5 k is brilliant in 3 weeks!
I started the same day as you and since then my weight has fluctuated by a few pounds up/ down ..which is disappointing - and confusing!
According to scales yesterday,i had put on a pound! Which really is disheartening as i have fasted and been " good" on other days..tho have also been "bad" here and there too
This morning however,i measured my waist and have lost 2 and a half inches,so i feel a bit better, specially as i feel a bit less "wobbly" all over! :)
So many factors for us to take into account.."time of the month" might make you hold on to water, medical conditions ( i'm on medication for underactive thyroid) and age too...am over sixty( i read that we need less cals, boooooo,as we get older)

Keep going, every little loss, each inch, adds up to better health and a smaller us!
And from what the oldtimers on here say,it gets easier and easier to enjoy fasting and repairing, and enjoying feed days (but not too much)
Don't beet yourself up about losing the average amount of weight was actually meant to give you  you done brilliantly well so give yourself a pat on the back :like: make that 2 pats coz you did better than your hubby hehehe. :clover: Sue. :clover:
Thank you both. :)
Don't stress about what you coulda, woulda, shoulda done, embrace the fact that you've been losing at phenomenal rate ! Well done! :like: :victory: :)

What she said.
Hi:

Let's see. 12 pounds in 3 weeks. The average weight loss on 5:2 is a pound a week. And you are disappointed? Wow.

Here is what you might expect when (not if) things get back to normal: post71147.html#p71147

Good Luck!
oh my gosh, just looked at when you started the diet and how much you have already lost and give yourself a huge pat on the back! make it a couple of pats!keep up what you are doing as you are on the right track and the little blips are just that, little blips!
