Well after 14 weeks have reached my first milestone, lost 15lbs, I am so happy. How i decided to start this diet is when after 3 weekends away with lots of food and booze, and then, some very unflattering photo's appeared of me on facebook, (you know the ones I mean,when bending down, and from angles that show every lump and bump)thought perhaps I do need to lose a few pounds. Luckily a friend who had contacted me that morning told me about the 5-2 diet, sent me this link and I thought I will give it a go.
I have tried diets before, but not a big believer in them as everyone knows you tend to put the weight back on over the years because you are denying yourself things you like to eat and drink.
When filling in the progress tracker thought I will try to lose 5lbs and didn't put a goal weight. Well with this forum, which helped, guided and then inspired me to reach a healthier BMI, so onwards and forwards to the next 14lbs.
My husband has lost 10lb, also I have got other family members trying this diet, I tell people this is not a diet, as you don't deprive yourself just another way of eating. A big thankyou to you all.
