Delighted or Disappointed?

Today I had to post my Christmas cards and presents to my friends who live interstate. I walked to the post office and while walking home I made sure I popped into a few op shops (located on the same street as the Post Office) to try my luck. Actually I had a niggling feeling to go have a look-see and I am glad I did.

I found a cute black cotton with white embriodered flowers A-line skirt - perfect for summer. Oh-oh it was a size 10 and so far I have been wearing size 12. I lined the garment up to my body thought it might be worth it as a cheap aspirational garment and asked the attendant if I may try it on. It fits! Not only does it fit the waist is a little bit big. Given the skirt cost all of a dollar (one Australian dollar at that ($1AUD = 0.89US cents or $1AUD = 0.55 GBP pounds sterling or $1AUD = 0.65 Euro cents as of 17 Dec)). Not only have I lost another dress size I found the bargain of the day.

I started this way of life as an Australian size 14 (US size 10, Europe 42). I am now a happy Aust size 10 (US size 6, Europe 38).

It seems that on this way of eating I am losing a dress size for every ~5-6kg weight loss.

Given that my goal is still ~4kg away when this little black skirt no longer fits I will happily donate it back to the op shop.

Onwards and downwards! This is one happy Frog. :D :victory:

(Oh I love the snow on the forum but we are just starting to warm up in this part of Australia and I am looking forward to fasting in the warmer weather, and wearing my cute A-line skirt.)
You must feel fabulous! What a great pre-Christmas treat. Well done :like: :like:
Woop woop fantastic for you :0)
Yee haa! Go The Frog!! :like: :like: :victory:

You must be soooo happy. :victory: :victory:

I think a dress size down for every 6 kg or so is about the same for me. I'm hoping by the time we can wear summer skirts here (next June perhaps??) I might be into a size 12 proper...
Well done to you!!

bet you're feeling on top of the world!! :-)
Very well done in being able to wear a size 10 skirt. What a lovely early Christmas present to yourself :like:
Enjoy
Great news Froggy! X

How fabulous for you frog. The smaller clothes fitting do inspire us don't they.
Hey everyone, thank you for the support.

Yes, it is the little things that help me along. I google searched the dress size guide for the brand of skirt that I picked up (b/c deep down inside I was wondering if it was vanity sizing where they just put a smaller number tag in the garment (i.e. grab a size 12 skirt and put a size 10 tag inside). Anyways their measurements and sizing is true to their sizing chart.

So it looks like when I next add data to my progress tracker I am going to add my smaller dress size in the comments. :D

Froggy is jumping for joy.
