Hi everyone, just wondering about those of you with 10lbs or less to lose. My weekends are a disaster - no will power and often hung over. How strict were you on feed days? I seem to lose weight by Friday (8st 9lbs) and by Monday I'm back at 8st 12lbs. Am I not regimental enough?

I've only got about 10lbs left to lose and it's a very slow journey - especially with some over indulgent weekends! Remember that 3lb 'gain' over the weekend isn't going to be an actual weight gain unless you've consumed an extra 10,000+ calories over the weekend - so some of it at least should only be water weight.
Are you sticking more or less to TDEE on your feed days, at least over the course of the week? Have you totted up how many calories are in the alcohol you're drinking? That could well be your culprit there if you're drinking enough to get hungover. Perhaps you could have a few weeks off the booze (or significantly cut back) and see if that speeds things along?

Over the week I'm defo with the TDEE Moogie. I have totted that up and it's in my blog. I only have 2 drinks Thursday and usually Sats are the culprit(often have half bottle wine with dinner and then another 2-3 glasses if out and about). So its not a huge alcohol intake(for an Irish person). Its just I have no tolerance so end up hungover fairly easily and then crave crap. I have 2 big events in the next 2weeks but after that it's count down to the marathon so will have to take it easy. I think I probably didn't put 3lbs and it's just bloating and constipation (sorry I know that TMI).
Moogie are you strict on TDEE days? I suppose I just expect that with all the training, starvation and low carb that I should have lost 10lbs in 2 weeks which I know is unrealistic.

I have about 2,8 kgs to loose and I am so not motivated. I am doing all as I should but no motivation. No cheating or anything just 'why am I doing this again?' that haunts me......
I've got 11lbs to go and I had 11lbs to go 5 weeks ago! I think I need to take things back to basics. I don't count calories and I know I need to be more mindful about what I eat on 'normal' days and watch the alcohol at the weekends. I knew the last bit was always going to be a struggle but I will keep at it and I agree with Aina that the motivation isn't what it used to be.
I have 5lbs to go and am really motivated - birthday in 4 weeks and I want to be/will be 11 stones! (or close...)
This WOE is a compromise between something sustainable and a 'diet' and, if I have learned anything since January, I can't have my cake and eat it - not every day, anyway!
So I stick carefully with my TDEE on a weekly basis - if I indulge at the weekend, I cut down/do 4:3 during the week.
It's working - 40lbs gone.
Good luck.

I'm not strict on TDEE as such, I don't count calories exactly I just keep in mind roughly what I've eaten. I know I've been eating a bit too much at weekends lately, but am glad to a least not be gaining.
A bottle of white wine contains something like 500-600 calories, which probably doesn't help. Maybe you could try a low calorie wine instead - I love the Banrock Station light wines which have half the calories (and alcohol) of a normal wine. All those calories count too, so if they're pushing you up over TDEE (plus the crap it makes you crave eating) it's quite easy for this to negate your fasting calorie deficit as well as making you retain extra fluids. If you've been training too, your muscles will hold water while they repair - another reason that the scales can lie.
I'd really strongly suggest cutting back on the booze to a level where you don't feel hung over. Believe me I'm a total lightweight when it comes to drink - a couple of glasses of wine and I'll feel it the next day (unless it's the light stuff, then I get away with 2 glasses as it's the same alcohol as in 1 normal glass!). If the hangover makes you crave junk then the hangover is your enemy as much as the booze! Just try for a couple of weeks if you can and see what difference it makes. If you're going out on a Saturday then maybe skip the wine you'd have with dinner. Or swap the wines for spritzers when you're out.
I have 10lbs left to lose and hope to lose them before the end of the year but don't put any pressure on it.
For now I keep doing 4:3 (2 liquid fast and one "normal") on mondays, tuesdays and thursdays, wednesdays and fridays I do a 16:8 and saturdays and sundays are "normal" days, where I don't do anything.
Well, not really because if I had a big lunch, I don't eat for dinner, or just a little thing like a soup to "compensate".
About the alcohol, I am not a big drinker but, if I drink I never drink mre than 2 glasses a meal. Calories from booze are empty calories and, anyway, booze makes me sleep which can be a problem when I am with friends:wink:

You need to be aware that there is no such thing as a constant weight whilst practicing IF - my weight varies between 9.1 and 9.4 depending on where I am in the week.
I've been maintaining for almost a year now, after losing 10kg or so over 8 months. I fast one day a week - sometimes a complete fast, and sometimes I have 200 cals or so. And I eat very well the rest of the week.
I prefer to check my waist measurement rather than my weight - it's how well my belt fits me that tells me if I should throw in an extra mini-fast or not during the week.
I gained another three holes in my belt whilst losing - and I will not go back on one of those!

I started off with 10lbs to lose. I was 9st 7lbs and wanted to get to 8st 11. I am 5ft. small build. This is my third week over. First week I lost 3lbs, second week I lost 3lbs. I didnt weigh myself today as my scales ran out of battery. I will weigh myself in the morning. I am not expecting such a weight loss again as I know it will be slowing down as I dont have that much to lose. I have been doing 4:3 for the three weeks. Yesterday was a fast day and I didnt eat at all. I am fasting Tuesday, Thurdsday and Saturday this week. On Sunday I am away to Lanzarote for an all inclusive holiday for a week. So all the dieting will be going out the window for a week. But will start back again when I come home. On my fast days I only eat one meal at about 6pm. I drink a few cups of coffee or tea during the day to keep me going. Find when I eat first thing I just want to keep on eating. Today I have had fruit for breakfast, then homemade vegetable soup for lunch. Then scoffed a cararmel square. I am at my sisters for dinner tonight so it will be calorie laden. Tomorrow back on the fast. Will let you know tomorrow my weight after three weeks. Would be pleased even if it was a lb. At least its going in the right direction.

We are actually the same height so our stats are probably similar. However, I am so petite that I really need to be around 8st 4 to not look like I've weight on to be honest. You have lost very quickly so let me know how you get on.
@Moogie I think you are prob right on the alcohol. AT this point it really is the only tweak I can make as I'm not eating a huge amount. RAGE but I will try spritzers at this weeks event
