End of 2nd week and wow
18 Jan 2013, 09:09
Hi

I'm just so excited and pleased. :D

It's my weigh day today and in 2 weeks I've lost 10lb! I know some of this is water, but so happy. I had a wobble last week concerning a feast day where I ate around 2500 cals. I've never done a diet like this, one that not only works but one I can see my self doing for the rest of my life.

Thanks for all your support on here, I appreciate it.

Michelle x :D

Hi Michelle

Congratulations you must be chuffed!

I'm happy too today. First weigh in after a week and 4 pounds off.

It's a good feeling, isn't it? :D

Hi Jo

It's brilliant and all done with so little effort really. What's 2 days of mild hunger when this is the result.

Well done to you and keep going. x

Michelle, that is awesome!

I was disappointed with my first week only losing 1kg, mainly because my other half lost 2kg!

Yay! We've all done well - let's keep it going.

I'm looking forward to having a few days of eating normally over the weekend without having to count calories or points. I know I won't go crazy though.

Feels like a breakthrough. :D

Thanks everyone! And well done to you all.

It does feel like a breakthrough and I hope it is with all my heart.

A breakthrough.. yes I agree - it feels like enlightenment. I am trying not to look too far ahead however and just taking it day to day. The best part is the psychological benefits I think - on feast days knowing I can have what I want seems to end up that I often don't bother because I usually realise I don't really want anything!

Fab results girlies :)

I still keep wondering what the catch is because it's so simple to do!

Anne, I agree. I fasted yesterday and was desperate for some kind of pastry. I planned it all; going to Tesco, buying a pastie. LOL, I don't fancy it today.

Pixie, I fear a catch too. I'm not going to worry though, I'm just going to enjoy it all.

I have just embarked on the 5:2 diet and find this easier than anything I have done before however reading some of the posts I may be cheating so all advise greatly received.
I read an article in the Times magazine on IF and have copied how the author does the diet. I fast from 1pm-1pm but have no calories other than milk in my tea and plenty of water. I find this very easy but for maximum benefit do I need to be fasting 7am-7am as an example? I do feel like I am losing weight and more energized.
All in all though I think I have found something that suits me! At last

The way I preceive the diet is that you choose 2 days during the week when you want to fast. I fast on Monday and Thursday. During these 2 days I consume only 500 cals, from when I wake up until the following day when I eat normally again. You can split your cals during the day or you can have one main meal. This is the way Dr Mosley describes the diet and it has worked for him. Good luck xx

I have read that also but was advised you could also do the 24 hour fast as I have. I am going to fast on Monday from waking to going to bed again with no food as I find this easier than eating and see how I get on. Good luck also.
