First day
12 Mar 2013, 20:59
Did my first fast day today and it went well. Had an egg with some salad for breakfast, nothing for lunch but by about 3pm I was feeling pretty peckish so had a miso soup at 4.30 when I got home. Then had a nice piece of salmon with garlic, ginger and soy sauce and a pile of vegetables for dinner which came in at 500 cals altogether. I have felt more grumpy and tired than usual (and it is cold) but am sure I'll get in the swing of it. I know the key for me will be PLANNING AHEAD which I'm not very good at but with 2 hungry teenagers and a husband to feed I'm going to need to be really clear which days I'm fasting on and what to eat. I have been going through the forum posts and getting recipes and ideas so that will help and I think it will be useful to get some low cal ready meals in the freezer for the times when I am in a rush. It has been great to look through the stats and see how well people are doing and as have just booked a holiday in July I have plenty of motivation to lose that stone and a half. Thanks to everyone for the advice and encouragement.
