6.5lbs off in two weeks!
26 Apr 2013, 05:13
I posted a couple of weeks ago about how I'd gained 8lbs in my two months on the fast diet. This is because of overeating on my feed days. To counter this I've been calorie counting on feed days and sticking to my TDEE. And I'm glad to report I've lost 6.5lbs in the two weeks I've been doing this! Hurrah! So so pleased about this. Obviously it's not ideal to be calorie counting but for the timebeing I need to do it until I learn what is a 'normal' portion for my size, age and weight.

YAY esmeralda well done you. "tis a bitof a pain counting calories but it' is worth it and as you get better at judging food portions etc you'll be able to relax with it.
Great loss.

I used MFP religiously for the first few weeks but it was worth it to get results. Well done for sticking with it and turning the corner.

Well done Esme, I had seen you previous posts so this is great news. And well done for sticking with it.

I have another topic going about 36 hour no food fasts and have just commented on that about the whole ethos of fasting is not to get obsessed about food and dieting. However by doing exactly that I have lost 3lb this week having watched the same pound or two going on and off over the last few weeks (by doing 2 x 36 true fasts). So if it means being obsessed for a little while to retrain ourselves then job done. Keep calorie counting for the time being as it is working for you.

Hey, great news, well done. I know calorie counting is an absolute pain but that is the beauty of this regime, once you've done all the boring counting, you know what is what and you then just relax and get on with it. Nothing is more depressing than seeing the scales move, in the wrong direction so, I'm really thrilled for you.

Wildmissus, I have nothing but total admiration for your 36 hour fasts. I've done a 24 and it was easier than I ever would have expected so I might try and become a member of the 36 club next week, even though I do not need to lose any more weight it will be a lovely feeling of mind over matter if I succeed. I always seemed to have more matter than mind but the 5:2 has changed all that,

hugs to all on here and keep at it,

Ballerina x

Well done Esmeralda, you're well on track now. I quite enjoy the calorie counting as I feel more in control and am gradually learning the meaning of 'portion control'

Good luck!
