Gained 2lb
14 May 2013, 16:25
I was doing very well, but I skipped one fast day (my birthday), and now I have put on 2lb :frown: Admittedly, I may have eaten too much bad food, but yesterday the scales said I had only gained 1lb :dazed:

Anyway, fasting again today, but feeling hungry :starving: and wanting to eat all the chocolate that is still hanging around from my birthday. Admittedly, not a large quantity, but not on a fast day! I must make it through today

You do have my sympathy.

I only did 1 fast for the week of my birthday - plus, as the following Monday was May Day, I decided not to fast then either. So I missed 2.

Didn't dare weigh myself last week, but got on the scales today and am 1/2lb lighter than the last time I weighed in! So, not a lot, but it does come off again.

Have you measured yourself? I ask because I'd lost 1/2lb weight over the fortnight but another inch off my waist. Not sure how that works, but I'll take it!

What I like is that I didn't "fail" or 'break my diet' because I don't think of myself as being on one! I'm following a sustainable way of eating that has various effects on my health - one of which is the gradual loss of 3.5 stones of unsightly blubber!

:fat:

Stick with it - we'll all get there in the end.

Hi Liz, Been there, done that - look at my progress chart. Stick with it and the trend will continue to be downwards. I get fed up when the scales go up but with a bit a patience they go down again.

I put on 4 kilos in 3 days this last weekend! But I guess it is mostly fluid and will come off in a week or two. Hang in there!

I've put on just over a kilo with my birthday and Mother's Day. But I really enjoyed my birthday, a big party. Lunches, dinners to celebrate. So what's a kilo then, it was a kilo of fun and celebration with lots of wonderful people. I think that's more important in the long run.

This is not very encouraging. I have a birthday coming up and it looks like the week may be a write off from the posts here.

But, what goes on can come off again..........:)

Dude just enjoy your birthday, I believe birthdays are very special. I still managed my fasts so I don't want to think of what I would of gained if I hadn't. But if you don't fast don't worry
Happy early birthday Dude

Thanks wineoclock :)

Wasn't planning on letting the weight loss regime dictate the day. After all, this is supposed to be a Way of life and special celebrations are part of life.

You could try celebrating for only 5 days for your birthday Dude...and fast for 2

Thanks all, I have now lost 1lb of those two (though probably due to illness), so not feeling so bad. Your progress charts are encouraging wildmissus, I notice that it also took you a while before your waist started shrinking, which is also encouraging as after losing an inch the first week (possibly just mismeasurement), mine has stayed the same. It is reassuring to know that others have been where I am now, and have succeeded. I'm definitely persisting!
