Delighted or Disappointed?

Needing a pep talk.

I'm only a lb way from target now and feel great.

I just can't not shift this last lb, it's like my body is resisting letting go of it.
Part of me thinks sod it, I've done so well ( total loss 1 & 1/2 stone) but part of me feels I've failed as I can't get down to my goal weight.

I've been at the same weight for nearly 3 weeks now despite doing two fasts a week

My BMI is still 24 so not exactly too thin still plenty of meat on my bones.

Anyone else who is now on maintainance had this problem?

Grumpy.

:?: :frown:
Hi Grumpy! Madeyemoodysmum, You know this works, and it does seem to be quite a learning curve once you get (almost ) to your goal. It must be really frustrating for you but you will possibly lose more than the last pound at your next weigh in, that so often happens after a plateau! Well done on getting (almost!) to target. Patience, you'll get there very soon and be on maintenance!! :like:
I agree with dhana - have patience and it will work. Also, think about body shape as well as weight - you must be pretty happy with your shape so does the last pound really matter? You've lost loads so maybe it's time to experiment with maintenance. It's seems to be a bit of trial and error so shaking up your routine could well lose you that extra pound while you settle into a long term routine?
I have the same problem (although I'm not close to target) but I stopped complaining because I also stopped fasting for a week and I haven't gained either which is not bad.
Have you thought of doing something to stir things up a bit?
I was planning to do Dukans attack for two days but my life got a bit chaotic and I postponed it. I'll probably do it next week though.
Thanks guys, it's all in my head I know, so close but so far!

I'm going away week after next so maybe a week off will jolt me loosing again when I return as I won't be fasting but will try hard not to go crazy. Having an active holiday with the kids so should be getting plenty of excersing in. Will fast tomorrow and Monday, thurs next week so you never know Perhaps it will be gone by then.

Started this mid jan so I feel like I'm in a really good routine now, some weeks though I long to be on 6.1. But who knows I may have to do more tweaking if I gain on that.

Thanks for replying I think I just need a talking too as I only have my husband and mum supporting me in this. Not told others I'm on 5.2. Can't be bothered with the bad press!
Me too, Madeyemoodysmum!,
I haven't lost any for 3 weeks now though I guess it's good I haven't gained any. I may be overeating some days but I sure have been exercising a lot so not sure why this is happening. We have to keep trying anyway!
