Delighted or Disappointed?

Hello all

Just wanted to share my experience of 5:2 with you.

I started this WoE nine weeks ago because of the promised health benefits. I didn't even think how much I hoped to lose weight, maybe thought it might not happen at all.

My weight was 74 kg the morning my first fast day. It has been more too, usually something around 76 kg. Week number 2, after 4 fast days, it had dropped to 71 kg and I was very pleased! Week 3 it was the same, and I was still very happy because I felt much slimmer around the waist and other places too...
Week 4, -1 kg more and week 5 just a little bit more lost again.

Week 6, my weight was 69 kg!! I almost couldn't believe my eyes. I really was under 70 kg and it felt unbeliavable.

Week 7, I did something maybe not very wise and gave blood on fast day - but I felt just fine, so maybe it was not so bad thing to do after all (but next time I'll give blood on food day, promise!). But maybe thanks to lost blood too, my weight was 68.5 kg after week 7 fasts.
Week 8 my weight was just a bit under 69 kg (maybe I had got the lost blood back...)

And this week was number 9. I fasted Mon and Thur and weighted this morning and was just a bit under 68 kg - sooooo pleased!!

Fasting has been surprisingly easy. I usually eat only one meal a fast day, breakfast. When I started it used to be 500 kcal, nowadays it is 250-300 kcal. I eat lot more veggies and berries and more healthier and lighter foods. But I also eat every weekend homemade cake, some sweets if I fancy, drink wine and so on... But I'm sure I don't want to eat and drink those things as much as I used to, before 5:2.

Now I find myself wondering when to stop, I mean maybe go to 6:1. My BMI is now healthy 21.83 and I'm very happy with that, I also feel and look slimmer and my clothes are too loose. Happyhappyhappy!!!

Thanks for reading, this is a great forum, so much kind people around ja a lot of support and advice! I wish you all very nice weekend and happy fasting too
