Delighted or Disappointed?

Hi all,

I finished my seciond week yesterday and I am so enjoying the guilt free feeling this WOE brings! I have lost 7lbs in 2 weeks so yesterday on a feast day I ate lunch at Jamie Olivers italin and did not feel one pang of guilt or panic at what I was going to order. As it happens I had 2 starters insted of a main meal and I enjoyed and savoured every mouthful1! :victory: after that I was full for the rest of the day anyway and just had a bowl of apple, blueberries and nuts with yoghurt when I got back form my zumba class.

I have yo yo dietd since my early 20's and for once I feel that this WOE is something that I can really fit in to my life and stick to. So glad I found you all! and this is such a great resource as I am sure I will need it to keep me motivated.
Lovely to read such a positive comment - that's just the way I feel Margalot! For the first time in years I am actually enjoying my food - no more guilty feelings about eating the wrong type of food, being able to join in with my friends and eating the same food items, to mention two of the advantages of 5:2. The people on this forum are so helpful and friendly and I look forward to many years of taking part in 5:2 as it really is a positive way of gaining health benefits. Wiltshire is a lovely part of England - I do miss the countryside!
I agree - I am sitting here, full to the brim with Mushroom & Pumpkin risotto with a glass of red in hand - haven't eaten rice for so long in the fear of low GI carbs. What the hell - I fast tomorrow!
Another one with a glass of red and a homemade pizza. No guilt.
I think I'll join in the red wine today, but will have to wait until dinner! as its only 10.40am here!
Prefer white myself. I agree guilt is a word that should never be used around food
Merlin - that dog is soooo cute!
Yes, had baked apple and (low fat) ice cream for dessert tonight. Even having lunch out with a friend is so much more enjoyable without the guilt!
Tomorrow is fast day and then three days of reasonably sensible but guilt free eating- well two anyway, maybe not so sensible one day!
Hear hear! I'm out for pizza tonight. Five months in I'm at goal and still love this woe.
Couldn't agree with you more. I've always loved my food - but now I love it and truly appreciate it. Everything seems to taste so much better - great WOL, so very glad I found it in time to save myself !

GMH - love your signature - it's one of the best on the forum :like:
Suchard, great that you have been saved, the forum is a better place for your wise words.

The guilt free eating, weight loss, and ease of this WOL/E makes it the best ever!!
Well I'm fasting today, but tomorrow I will enjoy my salt beef bagels with no guilt at all :)
Forgot to add, Im on my way to pour myself a lovely glass of NZ pinot noir!!

Ooh yum!

My daughter's out in Windy Welly at the mo and she's converted me to Kiwi Pinot Noir...

And I don't feel the slightest bit guilty about the odd glass of it ehre and there either!
I agree completely about the pleasure of guilt-free food. This WOE is changing so much of my life for the bettter, including my husband's weight! I love it!
