I am disappointed - with myself! I have put on 5 lbs this week and therefore MUST have been overeating and overdrinking. I did 5:2 Sunday, Tuesday and tried 16:8 on Monday and Wednesday, and intended to fast again yesterday but caved in after I saw the awful gain on the scales.
I now know that I CAN'T eat anything I want during the 8 hour window! I also found myself having a few drinks on those days, although up to now on 5:2 I have only been drinking at the weekend.
We are off to stay with our daughter for the week, and she is also on 5:2, so I intend together my thoughts, regroup and start again.
I WILL do this, but I think it is going to take a loooooong time.
