Delighted or Disappointed?

So I normally weigh in on Fridays, I said after a month or so on this diet I would weigh fortnightly. I am due on that time of the month so I am unsure whether to just forget weighing myself until the time of the month ended.

On one hand, if I weigh and I have lost some, it will motivate me, but then on the other hand if I weigh and I am the same or a little heavier (been know to put on at time of month!) then I will feel annoyed ....... :?:
Why don't you weigh now and then again after a week?
Well I could be off time of the month by next Fri then it may be a really good loss, and if I do weigh tomorrow and I am the same I will be annoyed....
If you want to have your weight on a specific date (the same every month) for statistical/archiving purposes then you should weigh on that date and then weigh again next week in order to have a clear picture of your weight.
now I am confused!
I thought about not weighing myself on those days too. However, have had 2 TOTM's since starting the 5:2, and the first time I was pleasantly surpised! Normally put on at least 2-3lb, but only put on 1/4 of a lb! Then the week after lost 4lb. The second time (this last weeks weigh in in fact!), I managed to lose 1/4 of a lb, and only managed 1 FD last week! So don't let it frighten or put you off weighing in. At the end of the day, if there is a slight gain or even just staying the same weight, there's a reason for it, so don't feel disheartened or think you're doing something on the diet wrong! It all works out in the end :)

That's good to know thank you! I am going to try and hold off till after TOTM unless my body puts me on the scales automatically in the morning!!!
You're welcome :) I weigh in every monday regardless haha
Well I decided not to weigh and wait until after TOTM!! I feel better and my knickers are going baggy that's goog enough for me!!! Lol
Well for me my body works differently, at the beginning of TOTM I have a big loss so I look forward to those weigh ins :) whatever works for you stick with it, maybe take measurements instead of using the scales.
Malteserr, many women lose as soon as they get their period. My diet buddy loses 2 kilos on the day after her period!
It only takes a half a minute in the morning before you get dressed

Daily is the only way to go. Many supporters of this viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5157

daily keeps you focused on the task at hand which is to live longer, and lose and and get healthy

If you are over doing it on feast days you will quickly know and you can cut the calories on the day.

but still dont worry if its up and down unless its up and up and up more than its down. But from what i can see NOBODY here has that problem.

anyway thats my opinion.

Good for you Clarie23 you made me laugh because i'm having that trouble too am off to buy new knickers today as had a close call yesterday at the supermarket  and all I could think of was it isnt my jeans but it could have been worse.
I had to buy new jeans as I could slide my old jeans on and off without undoing them! Only the belt was holding them up!
A size smaller certainly feels good....

I weigh myself practically every day, btw, but try to keep the Saturday weight as the one I 'claim'.
