I gained .6kg (over a pound) at my weekly weigh-in this morning, after a couple of weeks with no change at all. I'm really gutted. I have been exercising slightly less this week than in previous weeks, but still shredding every single day (just not really doing anything on top of it). Foodwise nothing has been really different, maybe a "bit" more wine consumption than normal. I've lost maybe a centimeter in each of my waist, hips, thoughs and arms (though it may have been me pulling the tape measure tight )
I went back and read the posts about average weight loss being 1lb per week, and I guess I'm not far off that now. So I should put it in perspective. But it is so hard when you've lost some weight and expected you'd be able to "bank" it and keep moving downward. I had hoped to be nice and slim for a ball we're going to in a couple of weeks, and given my initial loss I had thought I was on track for that. I guess I just have to be more realistic and let the process take its time.
I had already decided I was going to move to 16:8 on my feed days (at least during the week - haven't decided about the weekend yet). I'm also going to try very hard to fit in more exercise on my feed days - I had just gotten lazy and, with the weather having turned, didn't feel the need to keep warm anymore (seriously!).
So I have a plan, one that I hope will work without being too disruptive (I am so desperate not to count calories I will do almost anything!). Look forward to seeing some more positive stories from my fellow fasters!
