So I've done my first week since deciding to do this. I did 5:2 and on my fasts skipped breakfast, had late lunch about 3pm (around 150 cals) with the remaining cals in the evening.
I know I did over eat on at least one of my feed days.
But I was still pleasantly surprised to get on the scales this morning and see a loss of 3.8lbs I don't feel it was a struggle at all.
My first fast I felt hungry, and a bit tired and headachey. The second I definitely felt less hungry, maybe about 4 times during the day and was totally managable. Was still craving foods but not overly genuinely hungry.
On the second fast I felt light headed and headachey as I drove home from work and found it hard to concentrate. But I got home, had more water and paracetamol and I suddenly got a second wind! I felt great all evening. Not overly hungry and not even craving foods. I wasn't at all irritable with my husband (who is ill at the moment and I do try and be sypathetic but find myself short of patience at times) or kids. Lots of patience and energy. Stayed up later than norm and felt well the following morning
So a couple of ups and downs but definitely a positive first week. I can see me following this forever!!!
