 Sending you a hug.
Hope the weight starts to shift soon. X
Life does sound quite tough at the moment! I guess most people's advice seems to be lighten up a bit in some way, either less exercise or whatever.
I just wonder whether doing a bit of exercise helps your spirits? I know if I'm fed up with life or feeling stressed, going for a walk or moving around a bit (I do Tai Chi) helps my mood. But only you know whether it is a chore, something you "ought to do because it's good for me" sort of thing, or whether it really makes you feel better!
Somebody once told me I was suffering from a bad attack of "oughtitis"!!
All good wishes anyway, hope you find the right path soon!
I have not had time to read all comments but I just thought of something that i read. Apparently doing exercise everyday and not letting your muscles recoup is a negative. Perhaps you could try doing exercise every other day and see what happens. I dont think you should be feeling cranky all the time on this wol. Try doing some normal eating but perhaps lower carb. Please dont do this to yourself, try some ways that fit with you and make you happy!!! The best of luck
: :hugleft: heart: :clover: :hugright: Hang in there it is sooooo frustrating with all your work not to see the scales shift but like others have said it will happen. Go and enjoy some nice healthy meals with your lovely family. Hope you feel positive again soon
Thanks again for all the comments/feedback. I gave myself a break from shredding last night - got home late from work and didn't want to do it too soon after dinner. Dinner wasn't completely healthy and was probably a bit too high in carbs but I was desperately hungry having gotten home that late and needed something quick (my 8 hour eating window was closing). I went to bed with 2 episodes of The West Wing on my iPad and woke up today feeling a lot better. I even weighed myself this morning out of curiosity and was up 0.3kg and have shrugged it off. (Really.)

kencc, regarding your comments on the shred, I'm sure you're right that it is over-hyped in terms of calories burned, and I never really looked at it as burning a huge amount of calories; however, it is definitely giving me muscle definition and a feeling of more strength. Your suggestion of 10,000 steps sounds very sensible and I think I will give it a go. It certainly can't hurt!

I think I am probably experiencing the classic "8 Week Slump (Because No Slump in Weight is Happening)" that many people have been experiencing here. I think for now I am more or less going to continue as I am: 5:2 + 16:8 + finish 30-Day Shred + 10,000 steps + work in other exercise as and when I can and feel like it. These are all things I can do now and make (hopefully lifelong) habits.

Thanks again so much for all the hugs and support. Even kencc's wet fish (;-) ) is a big help!
What excercise are you doing? Mummybunny
Contrary to everyone here I think exercising is wonderful! It gives you an endorphin rush, improves strength, flexibility, heart strength makes you feel good about your bodyBut I don't think exercising helps you loose weight
I agree with the above comments ,eating less results in weight loss
You have to do a lot of cardio to loose weight
I think you should find an excersise you enjoy,eg yoga, pilates, walking and do it for the pleasure I do yoga or pilates everyday and I love it and feel better for it
It's a pain to count calories but from my experience its the only way ..I can fool myself about how little I am eating good luck and be kind to yourself.look at what you have achieved so far.
Have you considered doing yoga/pilates, meditation? I think from what you have written that you are stressed, add to that the feeling that you want to be the perfect weight now ( I know that one). But really you have done so well and fasting is a slowish method of losing weight, I am sure you will get there...however you can get there stressed out, obsessed (weighing every day is obsessive in my book and leads to heartache), or chill, get your mind into the right place KNOWING you will get to your goal weight in a timely manner.
