After a plateau comes...
14 Jun 2013, 06:34
a fall!

The last two weeks I stayed the same, much to my frustration, so imagine my delight when this week I have lost 5 whole pounds

And to top that off, that takes me to my first stone lost, in 7 weeks! :victory:

That is the stone that I put on over this winter, when I was quite unwell, so now I am down to the weight I have been for many many years. So the next losses will take me down into uncharted territory, which will be amazing!

Wow that's fantastic Heucherella especially after you were despondent. Just shows what is said all over this forum, it's not a straightforward journey, keep at it and eventually things will happen!

Thanks for that - I've plateaued now for 3 weeks so that has given me some hope. I have lost inches though, I measured my bust, waist, hips, thighs & arms before starting 5:2 and have continued to lose even if the scales aren't reflecting it.

Well done - good luck in the unchartered territory!

Congrats! This story will really help to inspire everyone who has plateaued to keep pushing on and eventually see that weight come flying off. :D

Yes, me too! I seem to have these plateaus for a week, or two or even three once and then drop a pound or two or three. The first time I was very upset and now I just take it in stride and keep doing the 5:2. I tried adding the 16:8 but I can't go that long without food so I'll just keep to this one. I do skip breakfast a lot now since I've never really been a breakfast person anyway. I often have a piece of fruit mid-morning and that takes me to lunch time. Occasionally I have some breakfast, maybe twice a week. I love how flexible this diet is (unlike almost any other diet!).
Keep going everyone!

Yeah! Rock on Heucherella!

A good example of what Caroline keeps telling us about the water/fat exchange. All those wicked fat cells filling up with water just to spoil our weigh ins! You've beaten them at their own game.

Fantastic news!!!
Millions of congratulations!!!
I know how you feel, I am struggling to lose the weight I gained in the past year (mainly in a couple of months) because I was unwell so thanks for inspiration and courage to go on! :-)
