Feelin' gr8...
14 Jun 2013, 14:48
Before I started 5:2ing I felt tired most of the time. I was really regretting taking my wife out and about around Moscow in her wheelchair. I would do everything possible to excuse myself from the misery. Those aching muscles and general malaise. (There are absolutely no provisions made for the disabled - so every trip out is a session at the gym - all those bloody stairs!)

Today I was enjoying myself. My muscles weren't aching and I had lots of energy, going out is a pleasure.

"Don't ever let me go above 88Kg," I told my wife, "you must say: "Peter you are too fat.""

:victory: :like:

I am happy,

Great news! Yes, it does feel so much better and freeing to be able to move about easily. Here's to you, Peter and Happy (belated) Birthday! :drink: :)

Hey Peter!

I grew up in a tenement in Govan in Glasgow. It was normal for people to have to *bump* wheelchairs, prams up and down the stairs, but there was always a helping hand. Neighbours would open their door when they heard the "bumps" and it made life much easier for everyone and of course fostered good and often lasting relationships. I often wonder how my poor mum managed, in a "room and kitchen" and with four kids, but she remembers those days as amongst the happiest of her life. !,I hope you have good neighbours Peter, even though you are finding it easier to get up and down the stairs! Your wife is lucky and so are you!!

Its great when you start to feel better isn't it? My hubby has been quite poorly since January and I would never have coped at my previous weight. I don't know if its just a fluke or if it will last but my thought processes seem to be clearing too. Its all been worth far more to me than the price of the book so I know exactly what you mean Peter.
