Starting to notice...
21 Jun 2013, 10:03
Hi all, just wanted to share with you that two people have said they notice my face is looking thinner, could this be the start of things to come? I really hope so!

I have been doing 5:2 for twelve weeks now, did my 24th fast yesterday and although I have had a moan on here about not seeing any results just wanted to say that things must be happening slowly but surely (now I've had two compliments!) so don't give up, stick at it and over time, without us realising it, we will get there in the end!

Good luck to us all on this journey :clover:

I did after the first month of 5-2 BUT the last 2 months I have lost nothing at all. Everything... waist - weight remains the same - I am very disheartened and have not a clue as to what I am doing wrong. HELP

Hi meg1948 - all I can say is bear with it, stick at it and I'm sure you will see results soon enough! Have a look at other posts on here as you will find lots of info just like I did. I thought too I must be doing something wrong but I suppose everyone's weight loss is different depending on lots of things. I am still yet to see my tummy disappearing but I won't give up! Good luck!

Congratualtion all the hard work is paying off, I was at a meeting last night and a couple of people commented how much weight I have lost.

I explained about the 5:2 and they have asked to borrow the book, 24lbs lost in 11 weeks is the most I have ever lost on a diet before so I feel I can keep this up. for the rest of my life.

Todays a feast day, good job as I have had a couple of Cafe Latte this morning ok made with skimmed milk so not to bad.Really looking forward for tea tonight, savoury mince and steamed spring vegetables seemed to have gone off potatoes washed down with a couple of glasses of nice chilled white wine.

Have a good weekend everyone

Congrats on all the weight loss Lincsguy! Happy for you :) and it's nice that it's noticed by others.

Your feast day sounds quite good to me, I've had toast and marmite for breakfast, a cheese and onion sandwich with a packet of crisps and looking forward to enchilladas tonight! Not so healthy (still can't curb my cheese addiction) but hey it's the weekend!

Enjoy!

@Meg1948 You haven't lost any weight in 2 months but you haven't gained any either. That means that you are maintaining with what you are doing, so you'll have to cut calories a little (see your TDEE) AND/OR up your activities #NEAT maybe even a step counter #Fitbit. I saw a post somewhere where the poster (sorry don't remember who) switched to sitting on a balance ball while watching tv for 30 minutes it works the core muscles and boosted their weight loss. There are many small things that you can do to give yourself some extra movement. Maybe some others will have suggestions for you. :)

Good point Betsysgr8, I meant to say the same - at least you haven't put on any weight so take that as a positive!
