Delighted or Disappointed?

Just .6lbs off target weight, so a big thank you for this forum and for all the information on here. My weight stalled a few weeks ago and then the 16:8 window of food was being mentioned on here. I gave that a try and it started things off again. If it wasn't for this friendly forum I would have probably given up. I have only ever done weight watchers as a diet about 3 years ago. it took me about 10 months to get to goal weight. And I had to count points all the time. So hard. And even harder having to make big food choices if I wanted to eat chocolate. That's so restrictive and not much fun.

I am confident that I can get to goal in the next couple of weeks and am not craving food all the time or picking throughout the day. I can cope with the fast days although I have to keep busy :) not sure what I will do once I finally get to 11.3lbs but am so pleased it is so close. I haven't done any exercise for almost a month as I am resting up an injury so was concerned that I wouldn't lose anything (I was running/jogging 10-15miles a week). It has been an eye opener that no exercise hasn't stopped weight loss, although before 5:2 I was eating most of the calories earned from exercise :)

Thank you so much for this site xx
Well done Shelley, isn't learning about hunger and needing rather than wanting to eat for the sake of it a great thing? Really enjoyed chatting to you on here, hope you are back to your running soon

That's brilliant - I too am losing weight on 5:2 with really no exercise.
Hope you reach your target soon :clover:
Amberenchanted that's fanstastic - and it's great to hear about your success with 16:8 - and no exercise! Also that you are one of those with not a lot to lose, but have still managed to lose it relatively quickly! I love your wavy tracker line! :like: :clover: good luck for those last 6lbs!
Well done girl. It's great to here of someone else nearly reaching there target. I couldn't agree more about the forum. I know I wouldn't have lost the weight I've lost without the support of this place. Keep us updated and don't forget about the rest of us when you reach target  .
Well done, think the forum is amazing, everyone is very supportive and helpful and so much more friendler than other diet forum boards !! It's good to get different viewpoints but without the nastiness. I'm 7lbs away but do exercise (that's my stress relief - don't drink !!) Onwards ...
Stress relief. I know where you are coming from :) running was my time away from it all. I love the fact that this is so easy. I started at 12 stone and am now 11.3.6lbs since 2nd April. It's 11am and I was so hungry last night that I'd promised myself all this food but have not eaten yet. Think I am getting like Wendy darling and able to cope til lunchtime.

Wendy, how's it going? And thank you for your replies. I love hearing when this is working. X
Very well done nearing your goal. When you are maintaining your weight still keep in touch & let us mere mortals still getting there know how you are doing!
Woohoo. Got there and almost another pound for good measure. Target weight 11.3lb. Now weighing in at 11.2.2lbs. Can't quite believe it. Perhaps starting the 30 day shred has made the difference. This new way of eating is great. Gonna keep on with my fasting so that I'm 11.3 fully clothed then think about maintenance and what will work for me. The fasting element will probably be one a week. Thanks for reading :) happy 5:2ing. Shelley x
Well done Shelly you've done so well Congratulations and the very best of luck with maintenance :clover: :like:   Sue
