Wanted to leave forum on a high, but its come to this! Would have posted on "Really, really good forum facility", but it is blocked. Pity, wanted those posters to see this.
Been with forum over 4 months, learned more than I could ever imagine about nutrition and health, to the point of improving my life's chances better than anything offered to me by NHS. I am not kidding you. My health was spiralling into oblivion, and now......well, it is unbelievable the improvements I have achieved, and for the new comers, you can check my postings to see what I mean.
I have never hidden the fact that 5:2 has NOT been the only factor in me losing 2 stones, but it HAS been the forum that opened up my mind to look for something different to the conventional mantra associated with diabetes, cholesterol and B/P management. So, thanks to the knowledgeable contributors, who have directed me to books, research papers, videos etc, to enable me to achieve my dream of coming off ALL medication, and the support of lovely contributors who know how worried I have been, by choosing to go against my GP. But, I have got there, and it feels marvellous.
So what's the problem? There has been a shift in the camaraderie and genuine helpfulness, that's what!
Its the nasty pasties that have chosen to take exception to one particular contributor. So, they didn't like either what she said, of the way she said it, (despite others saying similar things). But, like bullies in the play ground, they pick one off at a time, gang up to demoralise the individual, and achieve their aim of getting her off the forum, so they don't have to face the fact that she had an intelligent and well meant message to deliver.
But you won't do it to me, as I made the decision last week to stop posting. I am only doing so tonight because I notice that the low-carbers are coming out of the woodwork now! How strange is that? So, you bullies, which one are you going to pick on now?
You may well have put off some really poorly, overweight people, looking for help, who could have gained so much, just like me.
Thank you to Moogie and the moderators for what WAS a great forum. I hope you manage to get it back to what it once was, a marvellous, vibrant community of like minded people, out to help and encourage in the fight against the scourge of diabesity.
