While I have only been doing 5:2 for about a month an a half now (started May 15), I began working on diet and exercise back on April 30, so yesterday was the two month mark and I am thrilled to report that I am down over 20 pounds!
When I started 5:2, I had lost some initial weight from just calorie restriction and exercise, but I was on a 10-day mini-plateau when I did my first Fast. The plateau quickly broke and I haven't experienced another since then. I've been steadily dropping 2.0-2.4 pounds per week.
I'm sure a lot of people will be worried that I am dropping weight too fast, but I assure you I am only dropping about 1% per week, which I have researched is perfectly safe, especially for someone with a BMI as high as mine.
I've found what works for me and I couldn't be more thrilled!
