Here I am, on my holibags in beautiful York! 1 year ago I was here also, but 19lbs heavier and really down as I had tried so many different approaches to dump the extra pounds. I was down because I had lots of summer clothes I couldn't wear and could see the double chin and muffin top enlarging. The holiday pics were going to be grim...they weren't as it worked out, as I wouldn't allow any to be taken.
I heard about 5:2 from a good friend and started in April 6th. I have found the process amazingly easy and have stuck with the basic 5:2 idea, which thankfully works well for me.
From April 6th to July 5th I have managed to dump a significant weight (17lbs). 11.12 down to 10.9. Absolutely delighted! I had set target of 10.7 for this date, but had a nagging doubt it would be 'just another diet'. How wrong can you be! 10.9 feels brilliant and I'm sure after the hols I'll hit my target.
This forum has, no doubt, made a significant difference to my results. The quality of info and generosity of contributors make the whole process seem far more supportive. Thanks to one and all!
I'm off to get some piccys taken this holiday and I have faith next years break will past the photo test, too!
