Hooray! When I decided to give fasting a try I thought I would give it six months to see how it works for me. Today I am five months in and I have reached my first mini goal of BMI<25 or a weight of 63kg or less.
Here I am having just posted my stats as I just weighed in at 62.5kg!
I tried on a skirt I made some time ago (back in 2011) and today it fits beautifully. When I looked in the mirror I didn't believe what I saw so I headed off to my mother and asked her to check the fit (she sewed professionally all her life and she is very honest with me when I have lets just call them fitting issues i.e. wrinkles b/c clothes are too tight).
My mum took one look at me in my skirt and said the fit is perfect so what do you want? How does the skirt feel? The skirt feels fine except the waist band is a little loose but it should be ok as I wear this wool skirt with a thick woolen skivvy tucked in. My mum just looks at me any asks why are you showing me this skirt didn't it fit before? No it didn't fit before and I just want to make sure it looks ok on me. It's perfect she says.
Sweet I have a "new" old skirt that fits and it is all ready for me to wear to church tomorrow.
My new old skirt is made from an original 1940's skirt pattern (not a modern reprint) that I bought off ebay. It has six gores and is quite a slim cut (as everything was in the lean war years). I made it in a dark grey wool. I have to have a proud moment here and say that it looks better on me now than when I made it a couple of years ago as this WOL has changed my body shape for the better not just lost weight from all the wrong places and left me lumpy in the areas where I was most hoping to slim down.
Thank you Dr Mosley for doing the program and thank you to everyone on the 52fastdiet forum for keeping me motivated and being there when feeling down.
Hooray for my first victory and onwards and downwards to my next mini goal 61kg.
