1st week finished
15 Jul 2013, 00:47
That's the first week done and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy I found the fast days. No breakfast, followed by small 100 cal salad followed by more substantial evening meal seemed to work ok. Knowing it was only one day helped a lot. I hope week 2 goes this well.

Must admit to a bit of a binge on Friday night/Saturday, but I'll try not to do it again. Also found myself eating less on non-fast days too, which was pretty cool.

The end result? The scales say I'm down 5.1 lbs, which I'm a bit sceptical about, but a weekly weigh in should sort out anomalies as we go along.

Good luck all.

The binging is not uncommon in the beginning...it usually subsides, except for the "ocassional" special ocassion. The first week can see a loss of some water weight...just remember not to be disenchanted sometime when you don't lose. It's about the long haul and it tends to average out. Have a great journey!

Good for you Twonko. The initial weight loss could be a fair bit of water and hopefully further losses will continue. The average loss is about a pound a week so bear that in mind if the scales are stubborn. And remember to measure! If the scales aren't being nice to you, the tape measure can be much more forgiving! ;)
