Delighted or Disappointed?

I never dreamed of getting to this weight in a million years. If I'm honest. When I started dieting in February I was 10 stone 3 pounds and hoped somewhat optimistically, I thought, to get to 9 at the most but more realistically 9 and a half and then just plateau or end up putting on again very quickly like I had done many times before. Then I would probably lose heart and pack it in - AGAIN.

Then I found out about 5:2 in March and started straight away.

I haven't looked back since. I can't remember ever being this weight. I'm sure I was once but certainly not since my early teens!!!!

This morning I set my tracker to Maintenence and that is where I intend to stay :like:

I'm almost sure I will still be fasting for two days because I have a tendency to binge which unfortunately has not quite left me although it is getting better. I think I will just up my calorie allowance gradually. Until now I was liquid fasting anyway so with trepidation, I will move back to my 500 cal allowance and see how that goes. I also do 16:8 anyway on most of my eating days.

Wish me good luck on Maintenence please :)
Wow that is amazing! so u r now about 53kg? I don't work too well in stones :>) Good for you. Heaps of us now @ goal weight & lots more on their way. Excellent work :>)
:like: Congrats!
:like: I wish you all the luck in the world! Very well done. I am still on the losing weight journey but I do want to hear lots of maintenance success stories because, for me, this will be the real test.

Good Luck!! :clover:

Anne
Very well done Umleila you must be thrilled & good luck with maintenance. Like Anne I'm still trying to get there & would love to hear how your maintenance works out because I have never managed to maintain previous weight losses
Really positive to hear!

My target is also for around 10kg I was aiming for around the end of Oct as I go on a short holiday then but according to my tracker if I carry on I might hit it 20 days early!

Its really great to hear so many success stories - look forward to hearing how the maintenance goes for you :-) Well Done!
Thanks tbreweton :) you reminded me to add that I don't think I could've have done it without my trusty fitbit either.

I have also gone down from very tight fitting, open top button when eating, size 16 jeans to a comfortable size 8. (That I really can't believe!)

So I would say in my case a combo of 5:2 and fitbit = success :)
Wow! Well done, that's fabulous news. Good luck with maintenance and keep posting to keep us motivated ;)
Thanks everyone :) I've been celebrating with chocolate. Not sure it's a very good idea but hey ho
Fantastic news Umleila! Congratulations and I too am very interested on hearing how you get on with maintanence and I've yet to receive my fitbit in the mail to join the group so don't go anywhere! Hopefully, I'll get it next week. :star: :like: :)
Well done + Congratulations you've done amazingly well
This WOL makes dreams come true, so by doing 5:2 you can probably''bing'' forever'' in moderation
Good Luck :clover: Sue
I look forward to seeing you in our lovely group betsysgr8 :)

Excellent results. Happy maintenance!

Oh dear! Best make that 15 pounds now. It's hardly surprising really. Last week was my last week in the UK for a while which meant lots of take away and lots of eating things I won't have in a while and I didn't fast at all.

I did do 16:8 mostly but I managed to fit in a helluva lot in that window.

Why I don't know. Yes, they were tasty but I feel yuk right now, really bloated and heavy.

Anyway onwards and downwards :) I'm planning a week of ADF to see if that gets me back to where I want to be come next weigh in day.
