Hi All

I started on the 5:2 diet on Monday 6th January i have lost 11 lbs since then which i am over the moon about  . I really feel that the fast days have been become a part of my weekly routine, and find on non fast days my portions are smaller which means i am eating much less than i used too.

it most certainly has @Sue.Q  . I knew i had lost something when i had my first WI last week but was shell shocked when i realised i had lost 10lbs. I have to admit i felt disappointed when i saw the 1 lb loss this week which is stupid as I would much prefer to continue losing a 1 lb a week. As by the time spring/summer arrives i can actually think about wearing a dress or skirt for the first time in i dont know how long.

11 lbs lost is amazing - of course the weight loss will slow down but if you stick at it then it will work and 1 lb a week given time will add up to a substantial loss (it has for me and I'm nowhere near finished yet) so congrats and keep going!

that is amazing. well done you!

I'm so glad you posted as i'm feeling a bit glum about it as i have only lost 1 lb and have done 4 fast days. the silly thing is that i should actually be happy about it as i went away for the weekend to a posh hotel and ate a ridiculous amount of food for 3 days so it's great that i even lost that 1 lb, but i can't help but feel disappointed. silly hey?

you have given me some inspiration to carry on!

thanks!

Don't be despondent! This isn't the quickest weight loss method BUT you went away and STILL lost. Sounds like progress to me!
