Willpower!!
12 Nov 2013, 15:28
I really didnt realise I had such willpower. After a very disappointing weigh in today, and feeling down in the dumps, I decided I would waver from my fast today and just eat chocolate and anything else I could fancy.....So off fo the shops for a binge I went...........
Im back now without having any treats whatsoever......I just couldnt bring myself to spoil my fasting and the hard work the last four weeks......How good was I ?!?:-):-)
Sooo pleeeeezze let me start to lose this week......Onwards we go for another week..:-D:-D

Welcome happyholidays. Congratulations, you are adapting! It's really funny that this WOE often makes you feel like you want to eat less. Don't worry, the weight will start shifting soon. I was a slow starter too and I'm also a slow loser, but its better than dieting every day. Good luck :clover: :clover: :clover:

Good for you!
It's incredibly frustrating sometimes when the scales don't register your efforts, but further down the line you'll more than likely get a week where you lose more than you expected. It just seems to happen sometimes!
Have you taken lots of measurements? I know at the beginning my shape changed more than the scales seemed to show.
Keep going, it's frustrating, but effective! :clover:

I suffered through a very frustrating month-long plateau. Every disappointing weigh-in would have me deep in negative self talk: why suffer through a fast day to see no results? etc. When in reality, the fast days at least helped me maintain and not gain. Good for you for sticking with it. I think that carrying on in light of disappointment is what proves this plan is a lifestyle and not a quick fix. (Certainly not quick for me, anyway. "But I'm ok with that," she said to herself...)

It could be so easy to have a big blowout and then live with the regret. A small trat every now and again is so much nicer :-)

Don't be disheartened. I have times when I lose easily then stick at the same weight. It's how it seems to go. Slow is better anyway xx

VERY proud of you for not indulging. I have a "goodie cupboard" and sometimes I stand in front of it with the doors open .... look and think.... look and think some more.... then walk away..... I walk away far more than my hand goes into the cupboard these days!!!
