Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.

Evening, and I am missing food this evening. Not because I'm hungry, but I'm just a bit in the doldrums today (no particular reason) and think some comfort food would be nice. Which of course is not a good reason to eat. Consoling myself with the thought of having a cuppa and omelette for breakfast.

Iam in today 2nd fast of the week.

I find I am not losing much these days. I have reached my maintenance band which I set as plus and minus 2lb around my maintenance level; which I have not quite reached.
I think the main reason is that I eased up on my non fast week days. I have usually overindulged at weekends but weekdays I tended not to snack or eat desserts. I now eat desserts and have a coffee break snack :razz:
I will carry on as I am still losing weight and will just fast on Mondays when I get below my maintenance level

I'm fasting again today, have had a bonkers week out and about but my weight is still heading downwards nicely which I expect is down to being very active too. Did see billy Elliot at the theatre on Tuesday and it was fabulous, yesterday spent catching up with friends and seeing another friend this afternoon whilst picking up my daughter from her sleepover. Off on holiday on Saturday so need to begin packing tomorrow, staying in a caravan near dimchurch and have no idea what's over there, not sure how I'll manage fasting when away, but will play it by ear I think. Happy fasting all :0)
I'm fasting today. All out this week with a Tues/Fri instead of my usual Mon/Thurs. I'm also drinking milk in my tea today - I normally go green/rooibos with no milk - but I forgot it was a fast day when I woke up. I've also got a full on work day, think it's going to be a 12-16 hour one, so going to need my comfort cuppas.
Hope your fasts went well yesterday Jacksati and Mariposa. Billy Elliot sounds fab. I would love to go see a show in London. I hope you have a lovely holiday Mariposa and I hope will be able to fit in some sort of IF whilst you're there. If not, though, it's no biggie to pick up where you left off after the holiday :)

I have one week to go until the end of Ramadan. It's my weekly weigh in today and I've dropped almost three pounds this week, but I am assuming at least some of it will go right back on when I go back to 5:2. I hope not all, and then I will have to seriously think about what to do for maintenence.

That sounds very positive umleila, not only maintained, but lost! I've completed my fast successfully, just having a cup of tea and saving the toast until little man has his nap so I can really enjoy it!
Well done Umleila I doubt you will put any on returning to 5:2 unless you over indulge on non fast days.
My fast day went well just weighed and lost over 2lb !! I will put most of it back on over the weekend but I am well below my maintenence level today :smile:

After thinking my maintenence plan over. I decided to do 6:1 if two wieghins (I weigh daily) during the week or the average week's weight is below the level I set. Otherwise carry on with 5:2.
That means I will still fast on Monday and Thursday next week :smile:

We are off to Shrewbury for the weekend, just staying Saturday night. I hope its not too wet but we will get some walking done

Hope you had a good time Jacksati :) I haven't been on for a couple of days as dh is back and it was my daughter's birthday yesterday. I would like to hear how you maintenance plan goes.

I weigh daily too, but only really count the one I do after my second fast. I would love it. it I could be at my goal or under for more than two weeks after Ramadan. Then I think that would be maintenance mode for me.

Do you think because we have been doing LF that if we reverted to regular 5:2 that would be ok?
I'm in too! Feeling a bit wobbly, so will try a chicken Bovril
