Starting the thread this week as am fasting today, have managed two weeks of 4:3 and going for a third! Finally the scales say I've lost the Christmas lbs so hopefully heading into unchartered weight loss territory this week! Whoop! Good luck all fasting today :0)
Hi Mariposa - just spotted this - I've had a good LF today, but suffered a bit with the cold. I'm still not losing, so doing 2.5 fasts this week, hoping to get back on downward trend. Well done for losing your Xmas weight.
 Well done @Mariposa On losing the xmas pounds I'm still working at mine but put in a very good fastday today and have just decided to make it a double with tomorrow back2back that should confuse my body somewhat.
Well done Mariposa, I hope your success continues!

I normally fast on Mondays but due to the Australia Day public holiday yesterday I'm in today. The hot weather seems to make it a bit easier; have been drinking loads of water and that seems to have kept the hunger pangs at bay. Almost there now...

Good luck to everyone who's fasting!
Back to back fasting! That'll surely deserve some shifting lbs! I completed my fasts and think maybe Paul McKenna is having some effect as I didn't eat my crisps at break time today as I realised I just wasn't that hungry! On day 14 now of listening nightly and it doesn't seem to be causing me to chew each mouthful 20 times or stop me reaching for chocolate at times, but it has stopped me eating whole bars of chocolate and reaching for the biscuit tin of an evening so I think it's made me more mindful which is what I wanted! It does send me off to sleep nicely! Will stick with it and see!
Hope the cold gets better soon minumonline!
Back in today. I'm doing a hard-core week, I'm bored stiff with this 6 month plateau/gain. So I'm doing ADF liquid fasts with v. low carb alcohol-free days in between. Well till the weekend, when I'll try 19:5.
I'm in today! Second fast of the week and a bit of a tough one! Going to see it through though as I'm also desperate to be back on a downward trend having lost those Christmas lbs! Looking forward to breakfast already! Keep going minumonline, with that regime how can you not break the plateau! :0)
Keep going Mariposa - I'm pretty obsessed with the thought of breakfast too!
@mariposa, your BMI is looking great and you seem to have renewed determination.

@Minumonline, glad to see you joined the slow tent. When that was set up I thought of you. Like you I am determined to get the rest of the weight off which I accept means I could be here for a while. I am thinking of switching to 16:8 every day with two 500cal days but it does scare me a bit. I've been so used to not eating for two days a week. I also enjoy breakfasts but there is no reason why I can't have breakfast at lunch time.

I've done my liquid fast on Monday and will do another tomorrow, then I think I'll switch to 16:6 next Monday for the month of February to see if it shakes things up a bit.
@wildmissus I've been doing 16:8 quite a bit lately - its good really, once I got used to delaying breakfast. Stops me eating after dinner. And means I can have wine. But then, wine is probably my downfall. I was OK about being a slow loser till I got to my fastiversary, then I got cross that I hadn't got anywhere since July, I'd gained in fact. So I'm pushing on, feeling much supported by the determination of other scenic route-takers. Good luck trying 16:8 - and going back to 500 cals - if I do that, I may have them at lunchtime as an experiment.
Minumonline, thanks for that, it's good to know there are other people in the same boat. For my 500cal days I was thinking about having a small lunch of probably soup and a dinner of lots of veg in a tomato sauce or ratatouille which will definitely be different from what I've done before. Will keep you informed of how I get on.
